St Patrick’s Day

The Waterford St. Patrick’s Day Festival will run for five fun-filled days from March 13th–17th, 2026, in Waterford City and will celebrate the very best of what the city has to offer and what makes it the best place to live, work and visit. Immerse yourself in the vibrant festivities featuring traditional music, a lively parade, and the unmistakable Irish craic around town.
Waterford has long been recognised for our strong cultural scene, and this year’s extended St. Patrick’s Day Festival will make for a fun-filled and exciting weekend. The city is easily accessible for families to enjoy the festivities. With an array of shopping & dining choices in the City, this festival gives you an extra opportunity to experience what Waterford has to offer.
The main event is the Parade on 17th March which runs along the Quay and finishes on The Mall. There will be a diverse mix of festival events over the five days including outdoor amusements, live music stages, poetry and spoken word events, history talks, walking tours, river cruises, wobbly circus, Booley House variety show, story-telling and Irish dancing, children’s music workshops, Irish language events and a tricolour ceremony to commemorate T F Meagher and the introduction of the tricolour to Ireland.
