Waterford Winterval runs from the 19th of November to the 24th of December 2012. The festival celebrates the wonder of Christmas in Waterford City. 
The Christmas Festival has something to delight all the ages, with the Winterval Christmas Market – with the side streets of the city transformed with food and craft stalls – the ideal spot to do a bit of Christmas shopping.
The Festival also features a Santa’s Grotto, a Winterval Express Train – a road thrain that lets you explore the historic areas of Waterford City. There is also Waterford on Ice on the Quay and the Waterford Illuminates – a wonderful sound and light show to bring some Christmas sparkle to Waterford this Festive Season.
