Brought to you by Waterford City and County Council, expect 7 days of bespoke menus, dining-out experiences, seasonal dishes, tasting trails, local producer collaborations and so many more culinary delights - all celebrating the food and beverage champions from Waterford city and the sunny South East.
As one of Ireland’s leading food festivals, Waterford Harvest Festival celebrates its 12th year this September with this year’s annual event showcasing and supporting Waterford’s rich and diverse food culture and heritage, restaurants and eateries, and regional and seasonal producers. Harvest Festival 2021 will also mark the re-emergence of the City's vibrant hospitality, entertainment and cultural sectors.
Given the C-19 health and safety issues and impact on outdoor gatherings for a September live outdoor event at the usual scale of Harvest, Waterford City and County Council is introducing a newly re-imagined week long citywide initiative for this year’s Harvest Festival. Waterford Harvest Festival will transform Waterford city into a weeklong vibrant, safe and accessible food event experience running from Monday September 6th to Sunday September 12th 2021.
Waterford Harvest Festival will not only present a much-sought after safe festival offering to the people of Waterford and domestic tourists alike, but this September’s event features a 7 day programme of bespoke menus, dining-out experiences, seasonal dishes, tasting trails, local producer collaborations and so many more culinary delights - all celebrating the food and beverage champions from Waterford city and the sunny South East.
The overall aim of the Harvest Festival 2021 campaign is to maximise, support and highlight the revival of citywide business activity in a post lockdown environment with a view to stimulating increased footfall, dwell time, spend and bed nights in Waterford’s vibrant city centre through a compelling programme of partner events.
The council’s ambition is to continue to build on Waterford's enviable reputation as Ireland's No 1 food destination both through the continuation of the Harvest Festival platform and by supporting the recovery of the City's hospitality sector.
